Last night we had a storm blow in that was short but unreal. The house shook from claps of thunder, lightning lit up the sky, hail was bouncing off the front deck and my dog was running from one room to the next looking for a place to hide. The power went out so we lit candles and I opened the front door to see what was going on. All of a sudden the wind blew sideways and sucked me and the door outside, I screamed and then the dog screamed like nothing I had ever heard come out of him before and then as if he was thinking if its that bad in here I'm leaving, he bolted out the door across the deck down the stairs and vanished into the woods. My kids and wife were in hysterics as I looked in disbelief for a sign of him. This dog is 9 years old now and until last night you couldn't get him to go out into a storm with a crowbar. He came back drenched about 5 minutes later, went to the master bedroom and slept for hours after the sky opened up and got pretty again.

Wow! I've never encountered a storm like that. I'm glad your dog came back after 5 minutes and that everyone is fine.
