I have been talking to my neighbors on the VOIP systems, they seem to like theirs, and I have to admit I have had problems with the land line system this year at home and at work. Just yesterday it took half a day to get our company phones repaired. Any people here using the VOIP systems?

The jury is still out on AT&T, as I had been most happy with, and loyal to, Bell South. I have found that with so many choices out there, one can call their provider and 'negotiate' price, terms, and service(s). I cut my bill by 60% by just saying I had been approached by another company -- and I had -- several times, and was thinking about switching, due to costs.
I have never complained about the service I got with Bell South -- always Johnny-on-the-spot. I question their pricing tactics, the more I learn, as so much of what utilities do strike me as a 'scam.'

Been strictly cell for the last six years and have had no problem. If I need my phone, I have it with me. If I don't want to be bothered, I turn it off.

Both Cell and Landline are part of a DSL,DISH,Phones package deal. I have unlimited long distance on our home phone so if I'm there I use it and if I'm out I use the cell.

Where I live, without a landline, you have no access to alarm service. We have an alarm and the service I could get thru a digital cable will not hook up to the alarm (* my neighbor was shcked to find that after he had changed)
We have a landline for home and cells for travel ( cheapest plan and we still never use the minutes!).
