I am lactose-intolerant and ice cream kills me. I used to eat it all the time, but it's just not worth it anymore. Plus it takes about 5 lactaids just to somewhat settle my stomach. It's been over a year since my last ice cream fix..

Hmmm...Now I remember why I don't kill myself working out. After this week of a new workout that kicked my butt and eating right as I normally do, I didn't even lose 1 pound. I wanted this workout to help lose those final 10lbs before going off to Vegas and it's not working. Yes, I see a difference in inches, but I want the pounds dangit!
I'll be stubborn and stick to it because it is a good workout.

I have to think about this one karla w/a k. A few pop up, but not worth repeating here. I save marbles. Never know when I might lose some of mine tho'. Had Raggedy Ann doll when I was a child. Loved her a lot. Back later, I hope, with something worth putting here.

Todays fill in the blank Question :

Now I remember why I don't ___________?

Don't forget you have to tell us details as to what provoked this "epiphany"
Knowing many of you, there should be some great "stories"

Today in history:
June 28, 1917 Raggedy Ann doll invented

Today is:
Great American Backyard Camp Out Day
Okay, this could be a very long list.....
So I will just mention one...
Now I remember why I don't let anyone in my kitchen!!! I am very picky about things being in their place. I don't like anything sitting on my counters and I hate things being left in the sink or a mess on my stove!!! I went to visit my parents a couple of years ago and my DH stayed home because of his work. I was gone for 10 days, when I got home my kitchen looked like a tornado had hit it!!!! He had dirtied all the plates, bowls and glasses...it never ocurred to him to wash them, so they filled both sinks and were sitting all over the counters. Stuff had been taken out of the counters and left sitting around the kitchen, dining room and even the living room!!! The trash cans were overflowing...literally, and I don't know how anyone can mess up a stove like that and then just let it sit. The kicker is....I had prepared dishes for him, so all he had to do was follow the instructions I left on them for reheating/cooking. I also stocked up both fridges and freezers with easy microwaveable foods, and bought all his favorite snacks so he had no reason to destroy my kitchen!!!
He doesn't go in my kitchen anymore....

I still own several Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. Now they belong to my daughter, who absolutely loves them!
Backyard campout day...well now that sounds like fun!! Maybe I'll go dig our tents out and we can have a campout.

Now I remember why I don't read the blog section of City-Data. There are a lot of people that I like on City-Data but I've found that when reading blog entries - including messages posted in the more controversial threads and forums - that some their opinions are so far afield from my own that sometimes it's a little surprising and occassionally disappointing.

I'm not saying that people aren't entitled to their own opinions. I'm saying that I don't necessarily want to know what they are. The old adage was that at a party, the three subjects to avoid were sex, religion and politics. I believe this might be a good adage for me with City-Data since I just want to enjoy the fun stuff without getting too heavy.

Not exactly the answer you'd expect from me for a Karla Question of the Day, but since it's National Marble Day, rather than my usual display of having lost my marbles, I used them. Worry not ... I plan to lose them as soon as I click ENTER.

Charley

P.S. No, I do not intend to answer any questions or debate anyone's viewpoints in any blog enties or threads ... but I'll gladly join anyone for a celebration of National Tapioca Day.

I know what you mean, Charley. I used to get into some discussions on other topics in CD and I had to stick with the fun crowds. Some people get really nasty when they're "sharing" their opinions and that's not why I'm here. Have I told you lately that I like you guys??? (((air kisses)))
