Today I really want to get _________ done, so I can come back later and say
It's 10:40 AM PST and I'm still looking at the list of things to do. I have to think about it some more after I finish my coffee. Oh, I did turn the sprinkler on, maybe I should go move it.

Today I am NOT going to work on the back corner of the yard.

Over the 4th:

More pea gravel and re-tilled the entire area.

Got all the big rocks moved in, did a temporary 'scape of the dirt so we could start adding plants, we went shopping for tiny Hostas, Sedum, and Hen and Chicks.

It is very late in the season, but we did find one (only one!) sedum that was acceptable, a nice, small green colored one, a bunch of hen and chicks (Including two Cobweb H&C my wife's favorite!), two Irish Moss (Pearlwort) that will be a grassy area around the "lake" (an 18" plastic base for a planter buried in the ground that will double as another bird, Squinty, Rabbit, Squirrel and whatever else shows up, bath), and a single Ice Plant that has small daisy-like yellow flowers. We'll go looking for hostas at a place that carries over 700 varieties and will hopefully find some tiny, sun tolerant ones.

Still looking for a variety of sedum that grows real low and is blue-green. I used to have some, but lost it. That will be the "stream" running from the "mountain" to the "lake". I figure a full flat at least to fill it quickly - if I can find it this late in the season.

I also trimmed down our 15 foot Lilacs so they will regrow from new growth moved some even bigger, flat rocks to the area around the outside water faucet to hold hose reel cart, etc. and put out 6 bags of mulch.

I'm a bit worn out...

Now right after it stops raining this week.....
