Todays question Saturday 7-19-08
Good morning everyone
Happy Saturday
They are calling for a "toasty weekend" here in NE FL 93 today and 96 (it was 95 but they just updated it)tomorrow, throw in the humidity I probably can think of a better word that "toasty"
So because you all worked so hard this past week I am going to make it a really easy
Todays Question:
So "whatcha" going to do today ?
For those that log on later
So what did you do today ?
p.s this is fun stuff not to be confused with Mondays "to do list" thread
Now in honor of "National New Friends Day"
I would like to invite those that maybe just read the daily thread but may be a tad hesitant to post to take a second and just post a "hi there"
as you can tell we are a pretty fun bunch and we love to make new friends
Today in history:
July 19, 1877 1st Wimbledon Mens Tennis
July 19, 1961 1st in-flight movie shown, TWA
July 19, 1967 1st air conditioned New York City subway car (R-38 on the F line)
Word of the day:
malinger \muh-LING-guhr\, intransitive verb:
To feign or exaggerate illness or inability in order to avoid duty or work.
Today is :
National Daiquiri Day
it is also
Stick Out Your Tongue Day
and
National New Friends Day
and lets not forget
National Toss Away the "Could Haves" and "Should Haves" Day

We're headed up north MN til Monday and staying with DH's sister and hubby. Kick back on the lake.
Happy weekend all and to all on the east coast-keep cool.

ooo lacey that sounds nice
I am going to go putter around in the garden for a bit
lol when I asked hubby what he wanted to do today his answer was "anything air conditioned"
So we may also go wander around a couple stores
I am still looking for an elliptical machine
I also want to check on this patio furniture I have had my eye on. last I checked it was 50% off We don't really "need" it but if it has gone down to 75% off It may end up coming home with us

I plan on going to the coast today, walk on the beach and eat some sea food.
National Toss Away the "Could Haves" and "Should Haves" Day
that sounds like a good idea for every day.

Yard sales! YESS!!!!!! Going to half a dozen or so, then the local CD sstore has a buy 2, get one for a $1 sale this weekend. Word of the day-malinger, huh? Inability to do work. That includes housework? (raise my hand to say yes). Falls right in line with national stick out your tongue day. I just done that to the vacuum cleaner- nya nya nuh nya nyahh!!! Only one thing to say about national daiquiri day-yumsss!!! Anything out there knows about a national knucklehead day? I qualify.

Hi Karla
They are calling for temps of 96 up here in jersey
as far as what i will be doing
I started at 6:45 dropping some paper work off in South plainfield
then i had to run home to bring the boss some tomatoes and a couple of tin storage bins (she has a baby shower to go to) then i came to the office for a little while and know i have to head to Avenel for a home inspection, after that i have to be in Westfield to finish off a house fire inventory, after that then i have to go to one of the houses i sold and install a couple of carbon monoxide detectors to pass the city co . when that is done (and since my wife will be away for the night) I will be heading over to the Waiting room (local bar/restaurant) to watch some games and relax
(after i take a shower of course)

OK, don't be a malingerer...post something! :P
I think we're going to put up mom's screenhouse, hit the craft show, and I don't know what else.
If it's Nat'l Margarita day, I'd love to have a few, but I won't because I don't want to get up at 2 tomorrow morning, drive 2.5 hours and get on a plane with a major hangover. Would not be fun.

hey Brian
nice to see you posting
I have to say after reading your "whatcha doing today"
I am a tad bit homesick for NJ I have been to everyone of those towns you mentioned
there was the best bagel shop in Westfield!!!!! I would stop there every morning on my way to my job in Garwood
You need to add stop in a diner for karla to your list

Good morning! It's going to be "toasty here too. It's 10:30 and already 78. I've got some cinnamon rolls ready to put in the oven, anyone want one?
No big plans really. Dh heads out of town next week so we'll probably be getting his things ready to go!
Have a great day!
