Yup going to be a HOT one here today in NE FL they are now saying 98 with a heat index of 105
ok I am going to get my outside stuff done early
I know Monday is our traditional "To do list" day, But I received a DM from one of our loyal poster giving me a great idea for
Todays Question:
Have you ever malingered?
If so
Bonus Question :
What was your most "creative" malinger ?
Extra Credit Question:
Who is willing to admit they had to either look up "malinger" or find out from others posts what it means ?

The "to do list" will return tomorrow
Today in history:
July 21,1873 - The first train robbery in America was pulled off by Jesse James and his gang. They took $3,000 from the Rock Island Express at Adair, IA

July 21,1931 - Ted Husing was master of ceremonies for the very first CBS-TV program. The gala show featured singer Kate Smith, composer George Gershwin and New York City Mayor Jimmy Walker.
Word of the day :
supernumerary \soo-puhr-NOO-muh-rair-ee; -NYOO-\, adjective:
1. Exceeding the stated, standard, or prescribed number.
2. Exceeding what is necessary or desired; superfluous.
Today is:
National Junk Food Day !!!!!!
and
National Creme Brulee Day
it is also
National Tug-Of-War Tournament Day
and don't forget
National Make a Scarecrow Day

I was hoping malinger was the word of the day, but alas I had to look it up.
My most creative? I guess I'm not very creative when it comes to that, I just feign a headache.
I've never had a supernumerary amount of malingers.

Isn't malingering when you fake being sick? I did my share of it early on in elementary school,I'd fake being sick to get out of school. I'd warm my forehead by the lightbulb then tell my mom I had a fever. Even though she took my temp and I didn't have a fever, she might let me stay home that day.
This malingering ended in 4th grade, which was the year I got german measles, chicken pox and regular measles all during the same school year.
When you *have* to stay home, it gets old.

Never have. If I stayed home I had to work when I was in school! I saw many guys do it in the Army and some had to start boot camp from scratch. That taught me a good lesson!

I've done the "Malinger" thing a couple of times... I called my boss a month in advance and told him that I won't be coming in because I'll be sick on that day..
Sorry, yes I was guilty of being a malinger a couple of times in the past, but I definitely wouldn't do it now.
