Default Internet Lingo You Hate

I hate Internet Lingo. I really do. Comes off as lazy and immature and in some cases trashy in my opinion. Its huge on message boards. I never hear someone actually speak Internet Lingo in public , thank goodness , but its annoying as anything to read this garbage.

To me the worst cases of internet lingo are:

"DH"

I see females refer to there husband as "DH" . What does that mean? Designated Husband? Dumb Husband? Damn Husband?

"pwn/owned"

Generally used in the younger crowd. Where did this come from "pwn" and "pwnt" Not sure what that means.

"Epic Fail"

Again when where and why did "Epic Fail" or "Fail" become common place?

"The BF"
"The Hubby"
"The Husband"

I never see guys refer to there girlfriends as "The GF" Why do some females use "The" like they are describing an object. Its "my" not "The"

"ROFLMAO"

Yeah? Are you really?

I just came across this one last night and this one really bothered me. Joking or not it just came off as down right trashy and low class. A female described her two young children as her:

"2 tax deductions"

Thats just a start. I will post more as they come to me and I see more.

What internet lingo annoys you the most?

Slang doesn't bother me as much as the anal retentive crowd who have to complain about everything and everyone.

It just came to me. The new worst offender for Internet Lingo.

I have seen the following become more common on the internet , mainly message boards but have yet to hear someone in person actually speak this stupid. Here is a example.

A person will ask a question like so what do you think about Florida?

another person responds:

"IS" good I like it.

"is good" ?

or another response to another question could be:

"is true I agree"

Lame.

I see DH a lot here and I thought it stood for Doofus Husband..

Actually, I think it stands for Dear Husband... I maybe wrong, but I do wish the ladies would use "my hubby" or "my husband" instead. Yeah a few extra letters, but at least it's clearer for somebody who is new here and doesn't really know what "DH" is.

You're not wrong Mike. I just got new hearing aids so I can hear all the words people say. Now if we can we can get people to write all the words they post I'll be able to understand everyone.
