Yes! We may be closing on our house in Florida at the end of the month if all goes well. After all these years of working, saving, researching, and visiting Florida communities in search of our new hometown we have found a suitable place and are taking the first step toward retirement and relocation. Thank you to everyone on CD who has helped me with this search/process!

Can I just say Fall... I will be glad when summer is over!!!
I always look forward to Christmas time and this year it's going to be even better because we are finally getting out of the military. I am ready to buy our home and stay put and not have to move every couple of years....Yea!!!
(International Forgiveness day should be celebrated and observed everyday, IMO)

Seriously, I also love Autumn. It's my favorite time of the year. No more hot, hazy, humid days in Missouri. Our trees turn beautiful colours and the air here at the lake smells so fresh and clean. Going for walks is a pleasure. No tiny biting insects to bother you. Then it is deer season when sons may come 'home' and visit. Yep, fall is the bestest for me. |

I am looking forward to visiting my Brother on the west coast. Could we live much further apart? And of course, like everyone else, I'll be happy to have fall show up. And it's just the first part of August. Hmmph!

Although I like the warmer weather, I am looking forward to the first freeze of the season. This time of year there is something in the air that makes my allergies act up and won't end until it freezes. Then again I don't want to it to be cold,  or have to shovel snow. So I guess I'm looking forward to spring. |
