Country bumpkin via Brooklyn NY. Couldn't wait to leave the city. I love the country but I couldn't have lived here without the Internet.

City Slicker loving the country, no more parking tickets, potholes, trash, searching hours for a parking space, insane rent and noise! I do miss a couple of things, but not enough to go back.

I was born and raised in the little town of Riverdale, Maryland, it's a small town in Prince George's County and what is considered Metropolitan Washington, DC area. When I was growing up in that area it was a rural area, hell even had a cow pasture in the middle of town, now you would never recognize it because it's all grown up with shopping centers, apartment buildings, and fast food places, when I wasn't in school I was on my grandfather's farm in Anne Arundel County on the South River just outside of Annapolis, Maryland. I grew up and lived in these areas for almost 60 years. The church that my mother and father met and were married in-in Riverdale was the same church that my wife and I were married in 30 some years ago. I'm a country boy, not a country bumpkin, I'm a well educated country boy and proud of my country roots. My wife and I are now retired and live in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and I'm still a country boy.....

I don't think city slickers can live without the internet either.

Definitely country here; I'll show my shack and a view out the front and one off the deck. I prefer the country although I do run into some real turkeys once and a while amongst the other critters.

Yes, we sure have our fair share of critters in the country, don't we?

That's a cute little cabin, jack.

That's a lovely history, ptsum. I'm proud of my country roots, too.

Phil - nothing wrong with loving city life, hard core!
