WOW..You've GOT to see "Google Maps"!
My teenage son was going to meet someone yesterday and wasn't familiar with the area. We have a GPS but he decided to look it up on his computer. I heard a loud "WOW"...and then I went to check it out. Google Maps now has STREET VIEW of addresses. It is virtually like your view of driving down the street and you can rotate and see individual houses. Almost spooky that the "eye in the sky" can do so much, but it will make relocation almost like being there!
No, I'm not a Google employee but Google Maps and Google Earth just blow away paper maps!

I've known about Google Earth for quite a while, with gas prices, it is now my new way of "vacationing" , however I guess I am just GPS dependent and don't even think about looking at maps on the computer.

Yes its amazing
Yes, its amazing isnt it, I was on that site before and I could watch all the cars going down Chapman Highway and follow them right on down the road, I just wonder if we arent making it too easy for perverts now where they can spy on innocent little children, scary I think

I know, I discovered this a few weeks ago and WOWed myself! I wish the "streetview" went into Gatlinburg so I could go see my old house. It actually goes a lot further now than it did when I first discovered it. The Knoxville streetview kept to Knoxville but now goes through Townsend too so maybe it's just taking them a bit of time to go everywhere.

My kids just did that and got to see our home, but it is years outdated. The pic they saw still has our trampoline in the back yard & the shed we tore down is still standing. We tore the shed down 3 years ago.

Try local.live.com and click "bird's eye" once you zoom into Nashville, much better than Google Earth.

We're no where to be found - at least the live view. Maybe their cameras don't work near cows!
