Default Todays question Tuesday 8-19-08

Good morning everyone
Happy Tuesday
Sorry I am late but I have been watching the weather channel
They still haven't decided which way she is going to go as she heads north
They are saying there is a chance she could turn right over NE FL

I noticed yesterday (which was trash pick up day) as I left to run errands that it seemed as if there was a lot more garbage out in front of folks houses
So lol I thought it would be fun to do a little "trash talking" in

Todays Question:

How many trash cans/bags do you put out each week

Bonus Question:

Does your city have a separate bin for recycling ?

Extra Credit Question:

What is the strangest thing you have put out for pickup

And a because I can

Extra Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever put something out only to have it picked up by someone before the trash pickup folks got there ?

Morning Karla-stay safe!!!!

As there's just us-we have one bin per week.

Recycling is mixed paper/glass/plastic-every other week.

Back in NJ there was a man who came regularly early on garbage day and would be loading his car. Plus our garbage man would load "good" stuff into his cab.

Just the one trash bin and yes our city also has a recycle bin. Can't think of anything to strange that I have put out there.

Any of our country folk burn their trash? Thats still common in the country around here.

We are allowed one garbage can that can't be bigger then 35 gallons. You can fill it with what will fit in it. You can also just leave one bag out on the lawn. If you have extra bags that don't fit in the can, you have to purchase a garbage sticker for each bag($1.25 for each sticker).

We have a Yardy Cart that is for yard waste. Leaves, grass, sticks..etc..This will get collected through November. The cart is quite large.(pic attached)

We have recycle bins/carts as well. Some have small bins(the normal)you can also get a large cart that is the same size as our yardy carts. You can call and they will swap out the bin for the cart(I did this). If you have glass, it needs to go in a 5 gallon bucket of any sorts.

Everything gets collected on garbage day.

Good Morning Hugs to all!!

How many trash cans/bags do you put out each week: 1

Does your city have a separate bin for recycling ? Yes. One for paper, cardboard, and another for cans, plastic.

What is the strangest thing you have put out for pickup: A trend mill. There was nothing wrong with it. Just didn't want it anymore.

Have you ever put something out only to have it picked up by someone before the trash pickup folks got there ?
Yes, many of times. So now days I just sit whatever out front and put free sign on it and it is gone in less then an hour.

How much trash do I throw out? Well.. I don't know, I keep throwing them out, but my friends keep coming back for some reason!

Sorry, I'm just joking - I'm single and live alone, so on average I throw out one medium-sized trash bag every 2 weeks. I don't generate too much trash.

I do have 2 seperate trash bins, one for regular trash and one for recyclables. I get enough junk mail to fill up the recyclables bin, probably more often than I'd like, and it's a good-sized bin too.

I can't think of anything unsual I threw out, I know if I have something usable to throw out, I donate it.

And I don't remember anybody ever picking up something I threw out before it was picked up by the city... I guess my trash is boring.
