It doesn't benefit anything, basically it sounds like it's getting rid of some frustration and moving on. In some cases it could be like getting rid of that big weight off your shoulders, however I could probably understand their frustration and relief having been there myself, other than that it benefits nothing.

I understand the part about ridding oneself of frustrations.

I just don't think that a public announcement, especially one concerning family, is a good place to do it.

She might have been all those things - but only the immediate family knows for sure, and advertising it just speaks of an un-evolved mind.

Ok, how about this then, if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all! No one has to put an obituary in the newpaper.

I agree with a lot that's been said. No matter how awful this woman may have been, it's just incredibly tacky, at the very least.

I don't know... I went to a funeral once where everyone was saying "Finally!" and the preacher couldn't even think of something nice to say that sounded believable. Some people are just horrible. I heard a theory, "Live every day so that, when you die, people will miss you."

What is the point of a family broadcastring their hate for a deceased member of the family? It only proves that she has left a legacy of her own poison behind..
