I definitely qualify on number 5. Free dessert? That's a no brainer especially, as Karla points out, is national spumoni day. Italian ice cream! YUMS!! Been saying prayers for Florida folks.

Todays Question:

What is your opinion of the "restaurant" acknowledgment of the celebration of your birth ?

Which group do you fall in

1. I like watching other tables and will even join in singing HB to you !!

2. No way, no how not in this lifetime

3. It is ok if it is someone else at our table

4. Bring it on baby !!!!!! I will even wear the birthday hat

5. Why didn't you tell me I would get a free dessert hmmm can I change my answer

I fall under #2. I wouldn't do it to someone else and wouldn't want it done to me. I'm not that into desserts anyway.

Today is :
National Spumoni Day

Great! I have a couple co-workers taking me and my husband out to lunch at Olive Garden, because they miss me at work so much. LOL! Nobody to help them get through the day.

when I was 13, my parents thought it would hilarious to take me to a 50-themed diner. the end result was me doing the twist on TOP of the table (mind you, I think the ceiling was only six inches away from my head) while wearing a "cook's cap" that the staff had written all over. Looking back, I guess I could have been a tad more red Ah well...now I laugh about it and am quite content with my dessert But boy...just wait until I can get my unsuspecting parents back- it might be their "birthday" sooner than they think!

National Hawaii day...hmmm...shall we do a commemorative hula?

Karla, stay safe over there! Do we need to get together and send you a wetsuit?

Hmm, what a tough question.

I love dessert, love to sing to others and even help plan a time or two!

and I have been on the receiving end as well, and although I was a bit embarrassed, I made the most of it and clowned with the best of 'em. Why? Because it made my family very happy to have 'pulled' one over on me for a change.

I'm a great sport about this, because I see the enjoyment on my families faces and that means a lot to me. Yet, I am not a shy person per say.

My take is that if they think enough of me to set up something then I need to focus on that love and go from there.

I guess I look on it as a celebration of life and this to be a public demonstration of my families love which is rare as they are not a public display type of family.

Which group do you fall in

1. I like watching other tables and will even join in singing HB to you !! I sure do start singing

2. No way, no how not in this lifetime this would be my hubby & mother-in-law

3. It is ok if it is someone else at our table - not if it is the 2 above mentioned folks

4. Bring it on baby !!!!!! I will even wear the birthday hat This would be me !!!!!

Last year when I hit the big 50 my MIL took us out for dinner and the 2 of them actually had the staff sing I almost fell over !!!!
