There was a discussion at work. People were asking, "If you could pick anyone else's life to have, who would it be?"

By the time it got to me, we had heard about various celebrities, etc.

I said that I liked my life just fine and wouldn't trade it for anyone else's. And I meant it. For some reason, that didn't go over.

But, for real...I have a great life. I have a good career, great wife, awesome family and friends, I live in a great country, and any problems I do have are either trivial or I have some plan to approach them. I feel abundantly blessed and I love _my_ life.

And then, of course, my question to those who picked other people's lives (outside of child abuse and all that) was, "If you don't think your life is the greatest, why don't you fix it so it's how you like it?"

What do y'all think? Tell me there are more people out there who love their lives! And, if not, what are you doing to rectify the situation?

I'd have been Jesus. That way I wouldn't have to wonder so often about whether the people who constantly bomabard me with pamphlets in the street are telling the truth or not. Also it'd be pretty nifty being the son of God and everything.

It’s really illusional wishing for so to say another body, everyone has faults, problems and such, it’s up to you the individual to choose your own destiny, some get what they put into it some get a raw deal, kinda like lookin at a rich guy and sayin boy he’s lucky wish I was him then go sit down and watch tv the rest o the day.

I’m not saying that if you apply something to your life your gonna be rich, some try really hard to move up in the world and for unseen reasons just keep getting knocked back down the ladder, and for some if it were possible to trade lives who says they wouldn’t screw a good one up, seen it many times when the rich screw themselves.

But hell we all wanna be popular and rich, to reach that goal only you can do it.

I really wouldnt want someone else's life. Most famous celebrities, for the most part, have been exploited one way or other. Im a simple country girl who is very content with who and what I am, and living a simple life, like Mike, Huckleberry and Izzy, for example. And Im a proud mom. And Im very capable with getting my own self into trouble without someone else doing it for me, lol. Now if I could look like someone, Xena would be my first choice.

The only person I would change my life for would be a very good rheumatologist so I can spend all my time finding ways to make my wife's life more bearable.

I am so happy and blessed with my life, I can't even imagine being anyone else but me. There is a line in a song several years ago......"I feel sorry for anyone who isn't me"

I'd be me - 30 years ago - and make a few different decisions along the way the second time around.
