Horses. I can talk endlessly about horses and you can talk endlessly about horses. Riding, owning, breeding, foaling, training, grooming, harness, you name it... It's all good.
Last toasted a marshmallow over an open fire last summer.
I have been volunteered to speak on the subject of traveling across the country on foot or on horseback. Been there and done that on both. Lemme tell ya, after so many weeks in a saddle, I tended to tell people I was leading my horse across the country... Hard on the backside.

Karla, I have almost 5000 posts in what? a year and one-half?? I would say that there are definitely a few subjects I can go on endlessly about!!! Some more than others...

When I was in the USAF, I got "volunteered" to be Santa Clause for our squadron's Christmas party. But I sure enjoyed doing it! (My physique made me ideal for the job... )
I get calls from friends asking for "the best route to..." a lot!

Volunteered? Constantly. Usually because people don't want to pay me for my expertise. I normally decline because if I give it away I don't make a living.

tek we had the same problem
the phone would ring and on the other end you would get the "um is your hubby busy"
I went and got him a t-shirt that says
"no I will not fix your computer"
the funny thing is if he isn't home they would ask me as if just being married to a computer expert means I am also "qualified" to help them

opps just realized I never answered the question
see what happens if I don't answer right away
the 3 subjects hubby says not to get me started on are
Credit
Gardening
Greyhounds
wait lol there is a 4th
volunteering & fundraising
Quite a few times I have been volunteered to help a friend of a friend get their credit under control
I really have no problem doing this as long as they listen and are willing to make changes
I have a neighbor who constantly tells other neighbors especially new ones that "karla is a MG so I am sure you can ask her any questions you may have about gardening"
one of my favorite things to be "volunteered" for is when someone wants to go car shopping !!!!!!

Not too many subjects! But I can go on and on about the woods and forests surrounding our home. It has taken many years, but I think I'm finally becoming familiar enough with the critters and their homes around us. When I am stumped, which happens far too many times, I a always reach for one of my many books on the subject.
Used to volunteer for many clubs, progams, etc. involving our sons. Even became Cub Master for a few months when no dad was available.

Todays question:
Do you have a list of "subjects I can go on forever about"? Not to many, motorcycles, camping and fishing are a few.
Extra credit Question:
Have you ever been "Volunteered" for something because of your expertise in a certain area ? My wife used to volunteer me to work on peoples cars
Bonus Question:
When was the last time you toasted marshmallows ? Thats easy, Sunday night while camping, I don't eat them, just toast them
