and Good Morning all you C-D Folks!!
Hope all are having a !!
Do you ever talk to the TV while watching a show or movie ?
Why certainly, especially shows like CSI when they go into a crime scene and it's all dark, they are stumbling over things with there trusty little flash lights, it cracks me up....I sit there and tell them to turn on the lights !! And they turn on the lights...
I do talk to the TV all the time!!!
Do you ever ask questions about the show or movie even though the person your watching it with is also seeing it for the first time?
Yes!! I'm terrible!! My hb just looks at me ... and gives me that look like, I've been watching it as long as you have!!! Of course I never get the answer...LOL!
Do you have any "old favorites movies" that you watch on a regular basis ? Yes, my all time favorites are "Baby Boom", " Pretty Woman","You got mail", "Sleepless in Seattle", and last but least my old time favorite "Sabrina" w/Harrison Ford!
My hb is, Mr John Wayne.... I could probably quote word for word right along with John, him and I go way back !!!
That's why I get on the computer, I so enjoy it!!!
National Biscuit Month & National Potato Month:
My two favorite foods! I wasn't born in the south but you sure would think so!! All my favorite dishes seem to originate from the south!!
Better Breakfast Month- hmm with biscuits & taters breakfast doesn't get much better. Wow, your sure right there, Karla ! Love my hash browns and biscuits w/honey, along with couple eggs and bacon.... Oh, yes!!
National Chess Day: Never played it! Never played chess. For some reason it never caught my interest!
National Hummingbird Day: Are they not the neatest little creatures? I just love watching them when their hovering around the feeder. I have went on-line and there are so many breeds of hummingbirds...it's unbelievable.
National Leaf Blower Day: Boy, Autumn is here.... This last week the oak trees in my yard have really been dropping their leaves. So glad I do have a leaf blower.
To All!!!!

I like movies that are based on real stories, or the ones that have realistic plots, things that can actually happen in real life.
I know when we watched Six Days, Seven Nights, with Harrison Ford and.. what's her name... that blond gal. At the time, that was the very first time I saw the movie, there was a scene at the end, where a small detail was overlooked, they showed that gal and her boyfriend leaving the island they were vacationing on at the airport, they were boarding the aircraft, which was a Boeing 737-200, and Quinn (Harrison Ford) with a broken hand was trying to catch up with the two because he liked the girl.
Now, this tropical island was supposed to have been in around Tahiti, in the south Pacific, thousands of miles away from their home in New York City. If you knew something about aviation, you would have noticed that two elements in this last scene just didn't fit. First, The 737-200 airliner had the Aloha Air logo, Aloha Air was a regional airline that only flew routes around the Hawaiian Islands, not to the south Pacific. Secondly, the Boeing 737-200 is not a long range airliner, that had the range to fly non-stop flights from Tahiti to New York City, and I believe one of the scenes in the movie implied that it was supposed to be a non-stop flight back to New York City. If that aircraft were used in a real flight like that, it would have run out of fuel before it made it to the coast of southern California or Mexico.

Do you ever talk to the TV while watching a show or movie ? Never. I used to, but was told to "shush!" too many times. It stuck.
Do you ever ask questions about the show or movie even though the person your watching it with is also seeing it for the first time? I did a few times, but again, was either told to shush or wasn't allowed to watch if I interrupted. That stuck, too. With DVDs now, I can always get the DVD and watch it again to catch whatever I missed the first time..
Do you have any "old favorites movies" that you watch on a regular basis ?
Dave
Independence Day
Dead Calm
Air Force One
Earthquake
Indiana Jones
Deep Blue Sea
Armageddon
The Fugitive
The Wizard of Oz
Welcome to Planet Earth
Day the Earth Stood Still
Star Trek (all of em)
Day After Tomorrow
Terminator (all of em)
Horse in the Grey Flannel Suit
Alien (all of em)
Christine
Silver Streak

Silver Bullet
Crimson Tide
Monsters, Inc
Toy Story
African Queen
The hummingbirds have already left for the south. That's a sure sign that an early winter is headed our way.

Oh shoot ! I do talk to them I yell the right answer at them . Then if they get it wrong, I tell them that I told you ! ( That is usually Jeopardy )
Oh, BTW, the hummingbirds are still here, and enjoying the 'nectar' that I put out for them, and my flowers. The only hummingbird that we have is the Ruby-throated.
You guys keep jogging my memory .

Yes, I talk to TV shows. I yelled at Alex Trebek during the recent College series because the answer was:
"Archimedes Screw is a circular version of this." A contestant said "What is a ramp?" and he said no. He said the answer was an inclined plane.
So I'm hollering at the TV, "A ramp IS an inclined plane! Hello!" While my wife is sitting across the room laughing like crazy.
He later gave her credit for the correct question...
Sheesh!

Sometimes i do talk to the TV. Esp.when someone/something really dumb is happening. An aunt of my hubby's used to drive us up a wall with all of her ?'s and such when we woud watch a movie together. Sweet lady, but, ohhhhhh!!! Once in awhile my hubby or I may make a remark while watching a program not really expecting an answer!
We have a few favorite movies, but don't watch them on a regular schedule, except for 'It's A Wonderful Life', during the Christmas season.
Hummingbirds still around here everyday. Mid Missouri area.
