Well, it gets harder and harder the longer you put it off--if there is something specific you want to do--there is no time like now!

I moved to Las Vegas when I was 37 taking advantage of a corporate opening where the bank paid my move and put me in corporate housing while I looked for and bought a house .
This last time I did it when I was 42 moving to Missouri. I had been dreaming of leaving the bank and Las Vegas and finding my "home" on acreage in the Midwest and researched my destination for two years before jumping. The costs were stiff , but...I'm so glad I did!
Now.... I have NO intention of jumping again!!

Sounds like I should have consulted you before I leapt into the high mountains!

I didn't rush my decision, but somehow it fell short of my expectations. - first time, too!

I will be turning 48 on the 11th of this month, I will be moving this summer, don't know where yet, but out of Minnesota, way to cold here, and I have always dreamed of being able to leave.
I have only lived in Iowa and Minnesota, but I have been south and west, and I love the west, so I guess I better get busy and get it figured out huh????

I hope you find the very best place for you and the family. I know we intersected somewhere near Colorado on this board.

If you have any questions about my part of the world, that is my part now, please don't hesitate to ask. Making regional moves are somewhat different--or at least that's what I've discovered.

And 48 is mighty young! Happy, happy birthday!

Trust me, I know this all too well.

I'm almost done with schooling, and before that happens I'm doing whatever I can to earn experience in my field with the lack of technology jobs here it's not to easy. So I have to run my own server, and website just to get the experience outside of class. But there's another problem with that, it's just an associates degree. No one wants anyone with those. So I guess I'm screwed anyways eh?

Nope. Associate degrees count for lots. You just have to be real good at what you do; and it takes work!

I bet you can do it!
