Mine is for my business. I used Yahoo! sitebuilder. It is pretty easy to work with. I know almost nothing about computers and it took me about 2 weeks of playing with before I got it the way it is. Like most things, it was absurdly simple once I figured it out.
The website i have is the official website for the Town of Clayton (where i live). I originaly set it up two years before i got the job, because i thought the local Chamber of Commerce website was boring, and a terrible advertisement for the town. It was adopted as the official ToC site when i started the job.
I can hand code using Notepad, i was the only person in the history of my computer course to take the test using Notepad. I now use Dreamweaver to save time.
Ive done countless personal websites. One just about me and the games i play, (medal of honor etc) and computer programs like TekNap. Did one on my fave football (soccer) team and even did one on Foot and Mouth Disease when it was a big issue in the UK.
I guess i do them because it also helps me learn about the subject im doing it on, and if others view it and learn too, its a bonus.
