Today's Question:

Is your city or town planning any remembrances today ?
There are a few small events, and I know many churches will be holding services this evening to remember those we lost on September 11th, 2001.

I know I started the day with a prayer for our nation, and for the Lord's hands to be over all of us to protect our nation and all of us from the evils that prevail in the world today, and that we seek his wisdom to lead us on a path to a peaceful existence with other nations, where we never have to worry about terrorism or any form of hatred that lead to tragic events like the September 11th attacks. That can only happen if the world knew the love of our Lord and Savior, and the only Son of the Living God, Jesus Christ.

Our city did this for the 5th anniversary. They aren't doing as much this year, but it's a beautiful thing to see. One flag for every person that died. We were given the opportunity to purchase a flag with proceeds going to charity. Were were lucky to get there soon enough to buy one. They didn't last very long. Says something for the people of our country.

Well at 6 am I put out the Flag, then said a silent prayer. After breakfast drove around the neighborhood and saw only a handful of flags on display. Disappointed to say.
The last few years I've noticed fewer and fewer flags being displayed on residences on any of the memorial type holidays. So sad.

Exactly the same lack of display in the Orlando area. Sad, isn't it?

I went and placed my flag outside when I woke up this morning... and the 2 vets that live across the street from us haven't. I consider that a huge lack of respect on their part. I miss the closeness we all felt as Americans and the pride for this country that everyone displayed on 9/11 and in the aftermath.

Our flag will remain throughout the night in a place of prominence off of our balcony with a spot light focused upon it. I have also noticed the lack of flags being displayed over the last few years. Sad Wake Up America!!! This is Our Country.

Flags were lowered to half-staff and I think that was all they did here.

What counts more and proves that you love our country is where your heart truly is, not necessarily how many US flags you display.
