Default facebook

a friend of mine asked me to join facebook, and so i finally did. i was sure you had to be a student to join, but i guess not.
anyway, i was looking at all my high school classmates, and it's funny how the people you thought would amount to nothing are practically famous, the people who you thought were stupid actually have degrees and careers, and the people you thought would actually make something of themselves are sitting here at 6am typing on C-D

LOL! Join the club!

So many expectations, so little fulfillment...

I still don't "get" Facebook, though. I'm on it only to keep in touch with my son in college - but it's downright boring if you aren't one of the students. Maybe I'm just too used to how MySpace works...

Well, when you're typing behind a keyboard onto the internet... can't you be anything you want to be? Not sayin' that they're lying or anything... I'm just sayin'!

I know Facebook can be as addictive as a certain other website (which shall remain nameless).

Eh... I don't lie 'cuz I'm too lazy. I don't wanna have to remember who I told what to, etc. But I happen to know someone (on another site which will remain nameless) that makes herself 4 inches taller than she is, 100 lbs. less than what she is and lists her occupation as a high paying ex. position when in reality, she's unemployed and has been for well over a year. LOL... it'd be believable if I didn't know her IRL!

I dont think Facebook is a good idea. They sell all your info to stores and such. Its a form of big brother. Also posting your pictures on the internet for the whole world to see is not something I would recommend, lol

It would be difficult to lie on facebook. If you have close friends on facebook (and most people do) they would surely call you out if you were making stuff up, or unknowigly ask what you were talking about. There is no annonimity on facebook like say, this messageboard; so making stuff up about yourself would be more difficult. I suppose someone could create multiple accounts and make them say different things and make it so you can not search for each account, but really, who has the time for that?

So, are you guys suggesting that if I were to tell you I am Julia Roberts sitting behind my computer keyboard typing away on C-D everyday, you wouldn't believe me???
