I used to be indecisive. Now, I'm not so sure.

Default Do you ever wish you could change something in your life? What would it be?

Most people look back on their lives and realize that they could have done things different or better. That's normal. I think as we get older, many regret not persuing or changing some aspect of our lives sooner. Others wish they would have considered more options before jumping into something.

I'm referring to the BIG things in our lives like career decisions, family life, friendships, recreational pursuits, etc....

I wish.....

1. I had learned a foreign language.
2. I had not wasted time on those who were negative, unhappy people.
3. I had learned how to play a sport even though I am a klutz.

What do you wish you could change if you could do things over?

I hope every young person reads this:
I would have gotten a better education so I had more job security.
I would have paid closer attention to building and maintaining a good credit score.

Without those two things, life is much more difficult and uncertain.

Default What do you wish you could change if you could do things over?

I would finish college and became a Forest Ranger
I wouldn't listen to my forestry teacher about how hard it was to get a job in the forest Service
That’s about it, I can't complain, I've had a good life and feel pretty blessed to be where I am today.
I will advise young people to focus on your goals and stick with it, my generation didn't have to have a college education to get a decent job, but those days are gone, don't let yourself fall into a hole that you can't climb out of.

Obviously I can't change the past, but I look at the mistakes I made as a learning experience. Making a mistake once is okay, but making the same mistake again and not learning from it is definitely inexcusible.

I have a lot of things going for me in my life right now, and it all comes from my strong faith in the Lord.

The only thing I'd like to see changed in my life is my marital status. I'd like to have gal who will be glad to be Mrs. Magnum, and I'm hoping it'll be that very special brunette I've known for almost 2 years now.

Okay, I think I'd better stop here before she comes back with a "Go to your room!" - I'm only kidding, she's a very nice gal.

I wish my hubby and I could have married earlier so we could have had children earlier so my mother could have seen all those happy occasions (my wedding & my children being born).

Im so tired of moving, this past year has been he**, because of one reason or other. I seriously want to buy that little cottage-style house somewhere out in the middle of the country and settle, with maybe a dog and a small veggie garden.

Try to have kids younger (before health issues prevented me from doing so) and have more than one.

Get a degree in something more "marketable" than social science.

Sometimes we have these regrets, though, when really we made the best decision we could at the time with what we were dealing with. So I don't think we should "beat up ourselves up over it."

Well said, Kaykay, we do what we can with what we have to, at certain times.

OMG....just WHERE should I start???? LOL

I would have:
*went to college, furthered my education
*traveled more
*never, ever married my first husband....and listened to my parents MORE!

But....I also have to say, if I wouldn't have had all of those experiences in my past, I wouldn't be the person I am today....making me WHO I am.
And, I would have never, ever met all the wonderful people in my life today, and my one and only TRUE love being my second husband, Mr. MB2

So....coming to think of it: Nope, absolutely no regrets, and wouldn't change a thing....because it's all good the way things panned out for me (that's including all the drama, all the "missed opportunities", all the head and heart aches........) !
