They will benefit from lower land prices and less property tax. I too will enjoy a crash if it lowers inflation. People will still have to buy food and energy, regardless of the economy.

They aren't worried about their ability to get credit or what happens if their kids college fund dries up. They didn't have to watch their 401Ks and Roths take a dive today.
When inflation makes prices go through the roof they will be at your door selling you eggs, cheese, homemade pies and lumber.

The Amish people can give us the idea to live simply. By and large, its too late for us as we know what money is really all about, meaning we have had it for so long that it is unforgetable.

I have forever had a deep respect for the Amish way of life and am truly saddened when their communities are affected by "us". (For example, the horrific shooting of young girls by an outsider that occurred last year)
