Thank you... findinghope!! For sharing, this is a very important month and do hope all women will take the time to get their annual check-ups...
I am a cancer survivor myself and know that early detection is a good thing....
I have worked with many women who have through their treatment lost their hair and myself being a stylist do know the importance for women during this time who have been effected by the disease in their lives...

So PLEASE everyone get checked, volunteer whatever your heart challenges you to do this month... go for it.

It will be so rewarding to help or be with someone who needs the special person to walk along side of them who are enduring this in their lives!!! I know... I have been one of them!!!

Have they come up with any new high tech cancer detection machines yet?

I tried to go get a mammogram last year, I got nauseous in the room and had to keep sitting down, I was on the verge of passing out a few times. I couldn't even go through with the test and just left. I know, I'm a HUGE baby when it comes to this.

I will go out and volunteer though!

Please, ladies, don't put off those annual mammograms, and if you have cystic fibroids, get familiar through self exams where they are..Sometimes I have to show a new physician where a couple of mine are..
Another word of advice..Try not to have any caffeine before your mammogram if you do have fibroids..ouch

I am calling the breast center at our hospital tomorrow to see what I can volunteer for..
