We walk around our country are. Not many homes, no sidewalks, just a chip and seal road leading about one mile to the highway. Have to spray with 'Off' or something...way too many mosquitoes.

The only time I ever walk around our neighborhood is when I go to get my mail from the community mailboxes, so it's not much of a walk. There are a lot of parks in the area that I live in, and one is right across the street from the subdivision I live in, but I rarely walk in them.
I do walk on my lunch hour at the office when I go across the street to grab lunch. I also do a stair climb at the parking garage, it's a 5-story parking garage, so that gives me a chance to burn off some calories after lunch.

I walk almost every day. The town I live in has a lot of people who basically walk to get to where they are going. I do it myself. Walk to the grocery store, hardware store...
I do not see many people walking for what seems to be the fun of it or for exercise, though.

I average about 3 miles daily and really enjoyed tonight's full moon. I changed my course recently and walk along a railroad track which takes me over a pretty neat, as in scary, trestle. I'm out in the sticks and hardly ever see anyone else. Cold weather = best walking conditions!

I walk more now with the little lady than I used to. Around here a few of the neighbors carry a shotgun for bear protection when they walk during the summer! Fall and winter there are moose to walk by and even caribou. I'm a mile off the main road through town and have no sidewalk until you get there.

I used to walk about 10-12 miles per day in my neighborhood on dirt roads. Then one day I saw a rattlesnake (drought season) crossing the road, froze in my tracks terrified then turned around. I never went on another "Clear my head" walk again.

I walk but duration is nothing to brag about--maybe 15 minutes three or four times a week. The humidity here does me in; I know, it's an excuse. However, when in TN I walk a minimum of 2 miles a day. And, what a difference!

Twice a day, with the dog: very early in the morning and then again in early evening. between 20 and 30 minutes per walk.
It is a nice, quiet, pretty neighborhood for walking.
People deliberately drive here to walk, either themselves or themselves and their dogs--and not everyone cleans up after their dogs.
