Default Cars from yesterday, your favorite...

Anyone remember the cars of yesteryear. Especially before the 60's. What was your favorite vehicle? Share your memories.
Remember the Henry J by Kaiser-Frazer. The other Kaiser-Frazer models. How about the Tucker with the 3 headlights, with the middle headlight turning as the car made left or right turns.

Here is a site to jog your memories: Classic and Collector Cars 1920's-40 's 1950's 1960's 1970's

To me the cars that are worthy of the title of "Classics" are the Ford Mustangs from the 1960's through 1973, Chevy Camaros from 1967 through 1972, the Dodge Challenger, Plymouth Roadrunner, and Barracuda from the late 1960's through 1973.

With a few exceptions, most cars that were built from 1974, through 1982 were garbage. I love Mustangs, but you can't even give me the ones that were built from 1974 through 1978, which looked like large Pintos! These Mustangs were a joke, and a disgrace to the name!

'55 Chevy Bel-air. '66 Chevy Camaro.
Honorable mention: The mini skirted Dodge rebellion girls. (My grease monkey gets all revved up thinking about popping their hood)

Well, they were built in the 60's (does that count), but here are my two personal faves of all time:

1964 Aston Martin DB5:

1961 Ferrari 250 GT California (or the SWB would work too):

I'd lose my name if I didn't say 1953 Studebaker Commander. My second choice would be a 1963-67 Chevy II. I've owned 1 63, 164, 2 66's, 1 67. Little light car with a strong small block. A great combination as long as turning and stopping were not high on your list of important things to look for in a car.

Two cars that I had come to mind, 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible and a 1958 Chevy Impala convertible, on a nice summer day with the top down and a beautiful redhaired girl by your side.... Man now that was Cruzzing...

I favorite was my maroon '39 Ford Coupe...it was my very first car. I got it when I was 19 years old.

My first was a 55 F100, I't has always been my favorite, I had a lot of fun in that truck. I have one almost exactly like it sitting in my garage, I've been working on it for awhile and still have a long way to go.

The first car my folks bought when they came to the US was a big white Chrysler with tail fins. I have no idea what year or model, though. I much prefered the 72 Camaro they purchased a few years later.

The Datsun Fairlady is about as old as I want to get personally (although I'd take a 'vette from the 50s!!) - I think they started in the 60s so I guess not old enough.
