Question for the "TP Queen": where DO businesses find that "sandpaper" that one finds in public restrooms? That stuff should be outlawed.

we had to have a low cost paper to offer companies. I was surprised how many companies bought it. also keep in mind most companies use service companies to maintian the restrooms. When they bid the job out in oder to keep cost down they go for the cheap paper
ok more usless info
did you know the process to turn paper from brown to white softens it, also by putting the "quilting " in makes the paper more absorbant
that why you have to use so much of the plain brown towels

What about tissues?
You are just a font of information! I was told once that you should never wipe your face with tissue, only cotton balls, because tissue (paper) is made with trees and it has minute splinters in it that get in your pores....ok, seriously, I really was told that......you are laughing so hard right now that I can hear you from here.

This thread was more informative than I thought it would be!
I'm an over/crumpled person. (That sounds weird!) And I can so relate to the "hand in the shape of a claw" for those giant plastic containers! You have to keep scratching at the paper, trying to turn it enough to get a decent amount.
Maybe we should start a thread on women's vs. men's restrooms? I get aggravated that there's always a long line for the women's room, but the men's room is clear! Grrr. I've been to nightclubs where the capacity is 500 people - and there's only one or two stalls!

Over and crumpled. I'm all about efficiency and time management and that's just the quickest way to go about things rather than reach ALL the way under and neatly fold. It irritates me when I see that someone has it under. I just think "what is WRONG with you?!" and immediately lose all respect for a person.
Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but yeah, I still find it annoying .

This issue could ruin a relationship or even a good marriage.
Personally, I don't care which way it is done--under or over. In fact I think I deliberately do it differently each time.

I have sashayed into many a men's restroom simply to avoid the line in the ladies.' The guys never seem to care, if they even notice.
Cracks me up to hear about people actually changing the hanging of the TP in other people's houses.
I don't care that much if it is over or under, as long as there is actually something there.
Favorite brand is Charmin Ultra, hopefully bought on sale. We've got some tender tushies in our household.

Yay !! I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who has "snuck" into the mens room.
I use to hear the same thing about using tissues because of the fibers
but when I realized TP would have the same fibers and it is used on much more "sensitive" areas, so if this was the fact we would all be one big splinter
ok todays usless fact.
one of the reasons those "huge" rolls have become so popular, is places got tired of people stealing the individual rolls. They are also harder to stuff in the hand blow dryers.
o.k. who remembers
those TP dispensers that gave out those little squares
and the holders that had the "lock" so the roll never went all the way around

Over and folded. If you crumple it, what if there is a "dead zone" and you get um.... on your hand? I just cannot take that risk lol
Speaking of men's and women's bathrooms. Go to your local cafe/home depot/public store/work and see which bathroom is closest to the main area. 8 outta 10 times the men's is first. I don't know why I even care but it's true. Probably because we ladies always have that line and it would be a fire hazard w/all those women spilling down the hall and into the main area lol
Great but wierd thread
