Dh
I'm in lots of good company then when I didn't know what DH stood for!!!! And YES, rdbeard5, we can put in our own meanings for the "D"
LOL, LOL, LOL and ROFL
There were other abbreviations being used for daughter, son, etc. Does anyone know those?
"SIL" through my own "cryptic interpretation" I think means " Sister- In- Law" - OH NO... it could ALSO mean son-in-law
MIL could mean mother-in-law... Hmmmmmm

swmbo is a line from H. Rider Haggard's "She" which was the shortened version of "she who must be obeyed". Complete series was "She", "Return of She" "Ayesha" and "She and Allan Quartermain" She also shows up in his "King Solomon's Mines" in passing I believe. Allan Q was a prig IMHO (LOL), but my favorite character was Umsloppogas. (sp?).
I have been to my better half as swmbo, the CNO (retired Navy here), and simply "the boss" for over 20 years. She IS a bossy little *****, but I let her think she runs the house and she lets me live a little while longer.
Read Kipling's "The Female of the Species", and tell me he's wrong.
