Default a couple questions

Just curious what everyone else does

1.when you post pos rep points from the "scales" do you leave who you are or just click

2. If you are reading a thread and read a response that is very good, weird, silly or OMG they said what? do you click on the persons name and read other posts they have made?

At first I though this should go on the "about the forums" section. But decided that it isn't "about the forums" its about the folks

I always sign mine Yorkie when done. That way they know who gave the rep point, and I explain why in a little note, out of respect.
Maybe sometime down the road I may get one back if they see something they like, that I posted, out of respect. Thanks for asking, Yorkie!!!!!!!

I've done both in the past, but I'm more inclined these days to sign my name.

Most of the time I do. At first I did not realize I could leave a comment but now that I can I do and usually leave who it is from. Although I've been in a hurry sometimes and forgot to put my name.

2. If you are reading a thread and read a response that is very good, weird, silly or OMG they said what? do you click on the persons name and read other posts they have made?
Yes, sometimes I do that. If it was something really off the wall or totally untrue when it comes to location information then I really do. Most of the time you find the person leaving the bad posts don't even live in the area or such. Then other times you see that they are negative in ALL of their posts. If they are negative on everything and everywhere then it kind of tells me their op's are not really to be taken seriously and I usually blow them off.

Usually I just click on the name if the post is outlandish/weird.
If the post is especially good, chances are I am already familiar with the person's other posts.

I usually leave my "name" when I leave a positive/message. Sometimes I choose not to depending on the poster or the subject.

I've pulled up a person's profile and searched all their postings and thread inititations before to determine if an impression of mine is backed by other examples. This is usually where the topic is racism of some sort. You'll find that the bigots have LOTS of other similar postings!!

I always leave a comment and my name when sending positive rep points, and with some people, I look up their other posts for the same reasons that MoMark does.

Many times, yes. Otherwise I just do a "quick rep".

Oh yes. And I love it when people post a home page. I am nosey.

1. I never leave my name - it never occurred to me! I always write something nice, explaining why I left the reputation
2. No, never did that...I'll have to try that sometime.

1. I always leave my name and a quick little comment.

2. Like a lot of people who have responded, I too tend to click on a poster's history if they say something outlandish or if their post reeks of trolling, to see if my suspicions are confirmed. They usually are and therefore I don't respond to those types of people. I also occasionally look at the post history of people who post a question in a forum without supplying much information, to see if I can gather information from previous posts (i.e. where they live, what they consider "expensive" or other information possibly pertinent to the subject) to help me offer more appropriate advice.
