No, it was the address. The place was Convention Hall In Asbury Park
Asbury Park Convention Hall & Paramount Theatre
I have TONS of stubs...
I started collecting them, and always try and save one.

If you saw the Starsky and Hutch movie, which I think came out in 2003, it was set in the 70's, at the end of the movie, the 2 guys who played Starsky and Hutch look for a replacement red Torino because theirs got totaled, so they meet these 2 older guys with an identical red Torino they were selling, and to add a comedic twist to it, the 2 older guys were played by none other than David Soul and Paul Michael Glasser, the original Starsky and Hutch guys! LOL..

Wow man this is cool...
I never got into drugs, thank God, but I did smoke part of a joint only one time at that Deep Purple concert in 1974... and <ahem> I never inhaled...

Hi musicfreak...I had a lot of reading to do...I somehow missed this thread, and have been kind of absent from other topics a few days. But What a hoot!! Great thread!
The 70's produced me...April 72. So for most of the 70's I was learning how to walk, talk and all..but I have memories of the late 70's. For me...the best TV show was CHiPs, and the sun set and rose on Erik Estrada....Can't really grasp as to why these days..but, I was a kid.
And...as a kid...I remember silly puddy was lots of fun and so were Shrinky Dinks.
I do miss a product of the 70's...my husband had a 72 Nova when we met...and we had our fair share of memorable moments in it..but we had to sell it early in our marriage when money was tight...and that is so darn sad...

I seen Blackmore's Rainbow with Pat Travers, and Krokus in 1979 I think it was. Ya when you mentioned prices I agree with that; you might not have made as much per hour on the job but your $1 sure could buy more.
