Okay since we are doing cars...transportation...
How often did anyone take the Train or bus in your town?
I know a train to NYC to Penn Station was about 4 dollars round trip.
(It's around 12 now)

Funny how on some things I can't remember last week!
Kind of sad the shape Chrysler is in now. Come to think of it they had a rough time back when Lee Iacocca took charge.
LOL.. thanks for posting the link to the Smokey And The Bandit soundboard.. Jackie Gleason cracks me up!

I also remember those Cordoba and the Volare commercials. My mom had a relative who drove a 1975 Chrysler Cordoba, and they were garbage. I know Ricardo Montoblan did a very good job in those commercials, but a very good car does not need a commercial to sell. I don't ever recall seeing a commercial for the 1977 Trans-Am, but I know the first Smokey and The Bandit movie was the best commercial for it.

LOL.. hey come on now dear.. I was just a typical kid.. besides, Victoria's Secret didn't open in Metro Center until sometime in the 1990's.

I quit doing that sometime after I turned... 50.. - No, I'm just kidding, I stopped doing that long time ago, probably after I turned 19 or 20.

I used to take the City bus all over town when I was just a kid....If I remember right, it cost around 25 cents....If my parents didn't take me somewhere I would take the bus. Seems crazy now to think about it now, me being a girl. I don't recall ever being scared or being denied to ride. Back in the 70's there seemed to be less weird-os on them...or so I thought...

Was it the Camaro or the Trans-Am that had the shiny silver disco-y (sticker) covering where the inside gauges were? I always thought that effect was neat-o...
