How about some of the commercials on Saturday mornings like Silly Putty, The Slinky and Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Also favorite shows i liked were ''Land of the Lost, H R Puff n Stuff, Shazam, Banana Splitz, Underdog, Go Go Gophers'' etc.

Does anyone remember walking around with your Goody comb sticking out of your back jeans pocket?

Too funny. I forgot about the goody comb in the back pocket, I did that. I loved collecting different colors.

While driving home before I thought about cell phones...Then I thought about this one phone booth around the corner from where I lived. I don't think it's there anymore (hardly any around anymore) but if that phone booth could talk! lol We use to hang in there when it was cold and wait for our other friend to come outside. We use to make some prank phone calls, you know the "Is your refrigerator running?... (yes) well you better go and catch it" and CLICK...and we'd all laugh!
I even remember going to the booth to make a call to a boy that I really shouldn't have. But it was done, and ya know... I should have listened to my parents.
A phone booth was easy to use and free with the Operator. I remember cutting in many times as an "emergency" which wasn't but didn't we all do
it at least once?... Another thing was to make sure you had that dime in your pants pocket, or shoe or somewhere just IN CASE.
Funny how a phone booth can bring back some good memories... I have to go by and see if it is still there.

Too Funny!..This brought back the memories!...My friends and I used to have the operator 'cut in' on each others lines. It was fun while it lasted but how awful we were My parents were older and nearly every time my Mom got the call and never said anything. But not my ol' Dad...One time ( and the last ) he was on the phone with an important call and my friend had the operator cut in and say it was 'Jimmy Page'. My Dad actually ended his call. I can still remember him yelling through the house that Jimmy Page was on the phone....I nearly stopped breathing and was shaking as I took the phone from his hand. l knew my life was over....I was lectured and grounded for eternity....
