Which one to you prefer and why? Which one gives you the best coverage? We have AT&T, but are thinking of switching to Verizon.

I have A T & T for my BlackBerry cell. Overall, I'm fine with the coverage,
service and rates. The customer service at the store is extremely helpful,
even setting up my phone for me - internet software and problem solving.

If I had to pick only out of those two, it definately would be Verizon. Most of my friends and many of my family members now are with or are seriously considering switching to Verizon (or T Mobile but that wasnt an option here) when their plans expire. I hope they join me in my T Mobile so we can talk for free.

After YEARS of lousy coverage, bad customer service, and terrible rates, I switched to AT&T, and never looked back. The rates are better, and I've never had one dropped call since making the switch.
No matter where I travel, I have coverage. I could NEVER say that with 'the network'.

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts on this. We are thinking of switching to Verizon because all of our family and friends have it, and I could call my mother from North Carolina without roaming charges, but I have since learned that the small town in East Texas she lives in has no coverage for Verizon, so I couldn't use my cell phone when I go see her.

I have AT&T. I would love to have the new blackberry that is with that other company! Many of the out of state workers who are working at Toyota are having trouble with their cell services. AT&T has towers all over here and we find that most any area is covered. I have the plan that is for all of the country. So I can call anywhere..

Coverage for AT&T is prevalent here. I also can use it just about anywhere that I go. Relatives that have the other company cannot use their cell phone where I live. I like AT&T's service.

AT&T here. Aren't Verizon possibly merging with Alltel? Maybe you should ask if anyone likes Alltel!

We have Verizon and are very happy with them. Didn't consider any others. Everyone we know has Verizon and seem to be happy with them. At least I haven't heard any complaints.

My Cingular became AT&T last summer..I have the same great rates and plan that I have enjoyed for 8 years..I wouldn;t think of changing providers, because I can use it everywhere I go anyway..I am in the market for a new phone. Mine is my original..an 8 year old dinosaur..But is hearing aid compatible and I hear pretty well on it..In fact I tell my friends here and in the rw to call me on the cell instead of my landline
