Default Calling All 55+ People!!

What do you think:
About the drivers of today?
About all these electronic things that are out (IPods, MP3, DVD Players/Recorders, Flat Screen TV's)?
About the way relationships/marriages are handled today?
About the computer Age?
About "New Age" TV & Movies (reality shows, sexual content, the language used)?
Or, anything else you can think of!

For us (wife/I: age 58-59):
Drivers- It can be like one giant NASCAR track out there!
Electronic Stuff- Some of it is ok. We have the DVD, Flat Screen & computers
Relationships/Marriage- Don't hear very much about people getting married like years ago. "Living Together" is really the "in" thing today. Men/Women look more at money and looks today than years ago.
Computer Age- We both love our computers, both at work and at home.
New Age TV & Movies- Way too much bad language and sexual content for us. For some tv shows, "PUT ON MORE CLOTHES!!" Whatever happened to Lassie and Father Knows Best!!

Ive always been old school in many ways. Not all, but many.
Drivers today? Depends on where you live.
Computers? Thats something it seems everyone needs nowadays.
I dont have nor do I have a desire to own some big screen tv with a million channels where you can record movies onto a microchip. My vcr does that on a simple 27" tv.
Whats so bad about the good ol' antenna on the roof? Theyre going to outlaw those next year. But....people can still put smaller ones up in their attics and no one will ever know. I think tis ridiculous that you HAVE to have digital tv....and that you HAVE to pay to even watch tv at all.

I am a person who enjoys learning new things , even though I am a senior..I love my computer, cell phone, digital camera and my programmable remotes..and mysports car..

You don't have to be old to be disgusted with some of the sex and bad language on TV and in the movies nowdays..

As far as couples living together before getting married..Sometimes it may be a good idea..I probably wouldn't do it, but would not judge anyone else by my standards..

One thing I MAY be considered old fashioned about is my opinion of family life...Families seem to be all moving in different directions today instead of moving together..Seems like houses are not homes anymore..

I guess I'm just along for the ride! I can't change things that are happening...progress...so I try to keep up with what interests me and things that don't interest me I either ignore or put up with it! Don't always like it but then I guess my parents and grandparents didn't always like what was considered progress when I was growing up either.

Well, we still have a VCR, but it isn't hooked up and will probaby go to the Goodwill shortly. Shortly all VCR's will be gone and if one needs repairing....good luck in finding parts. VCR tapes aren't even sold anymore. I have transfered all of our important VCR tapes on to DVD's. In some ways, we are also "old school", but when it comes to electronic stuff, we do love some of them. Wife bought me an early Christmas gift of a GPS for our vehicles/boat. I love it! Yep, it's a whole new "day and age", but even at 60 yrs. old, we like keeping up with technology.

Hey great idea, thanks. I always thought it was called Duck tape. I've been chasing ducks around our lake all the time trying to tape them together, hmmm, guess I need another senior pill.
