Redid our wills just last week. We got down to the details of resustation and pulling the plug. Really makes you take a look ahead. I wanted to be cremated, but my husband can't stand the thought of that happening to me, so I relented to his way. If he goes before me, I may rethink my decision.
My husband wanted to be cremated, I didn't.(This botherd me for years.) I told him once... "I want your bones next to my bone's."
Many years later ( and out of the blue) he looked at me and said....
"My bones will be next to your bones"
How Romantic,
Huh?
Okie
Well, ya see, I have this idea that I'd like to be wrapped in a burial cloth that has images of wolves, eagles, and the like. Have someone erect a wooden scaffolding up here in my deer woods and place me old self on top of this glorious contraption. Put some of the dried timber and 'dead' bushes underneath it all, 'Light My Fire' (The Doors!!!)..,...
........... anyway and just let the whole thing burn, baby, burn.
Or y'all could just leave me there for the crow, other birdies, coyotes, wolves and the rest of my critters have at it!!!...Oh, and everyone must sing along: It's In The Book
I have a book called "The Book of Questions" and one of the questions was, "Would it bother you if, upon your death, your body was simply thrown into the woods, left to rot?"
I was surprised how many people said it would bother them.
I'd like to be cremeted.
(and, no... it wouldn't bother me if they wanna dump my body in the woods. Mind you... I don't wanna be dragged out there and murdered.)
I, too, like the idea of laying down in the forest and leaving myself to the critters. I mean, when you're done with your bod - you're done with your bod!
if you leave it to your kids, even if you leave them a lota cash, you wont get either.
choice between shelling out 5 thousand for ol pop or scattering the ashes its plan B.
see it all the time. get preburial and cremation. it will take a court order to prevent it.
take the family out of the loop altogether.

I always thought I wanted cremation.
But now that is not thought to be so environmentally friendly.
I've been reading about alternatives.
So much of the stuff that we take for granted is unnecessary. Green Burial
I also would consider donating my body to science.
I definately want to be cremated and have my ashes spread somewhere very private and dear to me. Quite frankly, I find the idea of my corpse lying in a box in the ground rotting away somewhat disturbing.
Cremated for me, please and thank you!!
Why put my family into the stress of should or shouldn't we, do this or that!! Not to mention the cost of a funeral....
Just cremate me, put me in a urn and sit me on the table, you might have a pretty bouquet of tulips of many colors sitting next to me and have a wonderful time at my going away party!! Eat, drink and be merry!!
