I want to be cremated and scattered over the ocean so no matter where my kids are, they can toss some flowers in the ocean and feel they're visiting me there. They don't have to feel they need to remain in the state where I'm buried if they want to move on. I say that because my mom will never leave the state where my sister and brother died, probably because they're bodies are there.

A burial in a coffin with one of those Tempurpedic mattresses. I'll be on it for a long time.

I'm gonna have my DH stuffed and mounted on a nice base. I can use him for a coatrack.

Well,,Public_Newsense
I hate to be the one to give you this bad news but....
your kids might move to another state. Not all states are located on the ocean. You need to get out more.

LOL!!!

We did this a couple of years ago. It's amazing how many things you have to set up so what you want to happen, happens, and the state doesn't get all your goodies. DNR, Power of Attorney, etc. We did it all using the Internet and a very good site that had forms with blanks to fill in that were specific to our state. We checked and they were the same as what we would get from a local attorney. Worked out nicely. Took them to our bank for notarizing and had a good neighbor witness them. Cost a heck of a lot less, too.
As for what I want done: It doesn't matter. I mentioned this and my wife informed my that my funeral wasn't for me, it was for those left behind. I guess I get whatever they want... So the Acme Spring-loaded Sit-me-up in the middle of the ceremony device is not going to be included. Apparently not everyone shares my sense of humor.
