Gift bags that I have been recycling for the past 8 years

I normally do all my shopping in one day, so I never have to go bonkers the rest of the month. I refrain from Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Listening to it is very heartwarming to me.

Yesterday we touched on gift wrapping so,
Which do you use more of paper & tape or gift bags ?
Paper and tape. I was raised with having a variety of patterns and colors on the wrapping. My wife, however, is "all the same" variety. All packages will be blue and gold, or red and green, or whatever.

Do you have a Nativity scene?
Yes. And it goes in the same spot every year.

Egg Nog yay or Nay ?
I will drink it if it's there, but normally won't buy it myself.

Long walks in nature helps me relax along with deep breathing sessions.

Which do you use more of paper & tape or gift bags ?
Paper and tape for the gifts wrapped early and gift bags for last minute gifts.

Do you have a Nativity scene? No but I love the one at the Old Mission in Santa Barbara with live people and animals.

Egg Nog yay or Nay ?
I like the Egg Nog that doesn't come already made. A couple of friends have old family receipes that are delicious! They won't share the receipe because they want you to come to their house to enjoy. One told me that was an ingredient!

Love to sit in the glow of the tree to relax with a hristmas CD playing.

I'm like Rath's wife-all the paper colors had to co-ordinate. Now it's bags for the little suff I send the grands but I think all they did in for is the card with the cash!

Have a paper maiche nativity that I bought 41 yrs. ago the day after our first Christmas as a married couple.

Not really an egg-nog fan.

During the hectic season that is about to be upon us, what will you do to relax or what I like to call "regain your sanity"?

What would make you think I'd have any sanity to regain?

Which do you use more of paper & tape or gift bags?

Probably an equal amount of both.

Egg Nog yay or Nay?

Yay - but not this year. My diet will take precedent over seasonal goodies.

National Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day !!!!

Hmmmm ... do it show it here, or .... I think I'll wait to see how Magnum Mike handles this one - or maybe I'll just go to MY room now.

I shop as little as possible, I play outside in the cold with my DH and our DS. I sit inside by our fire and sip homemade hot cocoa. We play board games and try to spend time with family.

Bonus Question:

Yesterday we touched on gift wrapping so,
Which do you use more of paper & tape or gift bags ?
I use more paper and tape. I am a perfectionist too, so my husband will sit by and tease me when I wrap the same package for half an hour until it's absolutely perfect. I know it's silly because people just rip them open, but I like things to look nice.
Extra Credit Question :

Do you have a Nativity scene?
I do!

Extra Bonus Question:

Egg Nog yay or Nay ?

I love egg nog, without the alcohol because I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to have rum while I'm growing my beautiful inner child.

What do I do to regain my sanity:
Nothing, I love the holiday seasons, but if I have to pick something I would say turn off the lights and listen to Christmas music with just the Christmas tree lights on.

Paper & tap or gift bags:
I wrap horribly, so I am a big fan of bags.

Nativity Scene:
Yep, I have some old pieces from when I was a child, and some newer ones that I have added (after original were broken). I used to have a nativity scene outdoors also, but gave to charity when we left MI.

Eggnog: Yay, but not so much as I used to, gotta watch that fat intake.

What to do? How about a few minutes in a salon, Id love to go get my hair permed so as to quit hassling with those 'bad hair' days, every day.
Most of what we wrap usually is paper and tape. We sometimes use aluminum foil and ribbons to add some contrast, hey it works! ('You might be redneck if you wrap with newspapers or aluminum foil...')
We dont do nativity scenes because we have a dog and a cat. You get the picture.
Egg nog? Yikes, no thanks!
