I'm doing the turkey and ham for the 11 we will have here for Thanksgiving. Mrs Dude my MIL & SIL will do most of the rest of the meal and prep. They do the dishes too. Both our boys chip in by making something they are particularly good at. After we eat and nap we put our Christmas tree up. We'll stop in the middle and eat some more. I also do some baking. As I'm writing this I'm waiting for a pumpkin pie to bake.

I will be starting my baking tomorrow evening and continuing wednesday. I have 5 or 6 differant pie recipes lined up that I want to bake, plus one or two differant breads. Then the main course will be turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, veggies ( green beans and Brussels Sprouts) Sweet potato casserole, cranberry salad and sauce, hot rolls, coffee, a choice of fruit juices, and iced tea. Whew !!!
Our son and 3 granddaughters will not be here until Friday eve, but I have asked our preacher and his wife to join us Thursday. They may go elsewhere, but will let me know...their daughters have asked them to join them, but he seemed like he may come to our house. They came last year, and we had a really nice day, and he is a great eater...not at all picky.
I love Thanksgiving leftovers.

My Thanksgiving plans are to go up to Detroit Metro and get our son who is flying in from Texas-he's stationed at Ft. Hood, and he's going to be here Thurs thru Sat/early early Sunday. He was supposed to get promoted on Wednesday to First Lieutenant-but they did it today instead! He's pretty thrilled!
He has a lot of visiting to do, so who knows what will happen, but his father's birthday is Saturday, so maybe he'll pencil us in!

I have to work Wed so we're making quick trip to my mothers Wed. and come back Thursday because I have to work Friday, but I am happy to have a job. We're all going out to eat, and my favorite cousin will be there. Not sure what will be on the menu, I wish I could get some coon! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots to eat!

Going up to Boston to visit my big brother....leaving Thursday coming back Sunday. Not sure if I'm eating Turkey....since we will be out all day, so we might just eat at a random restaurant. But still should be lots of fun
Have a safe thanksgiving everyone

A smoked turkey? Hmmm.. I'll also be having "smoked turkey" on thanksgiving, it might be a little tough putting it in the pipe and smoking it, but I'll do my best!
Like everybody else, I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary on Thanksgiving, other than stuffing my face with turkey and all the trimmings, no pies or anything with sugar though. Plus, I'll be enjoying 4 days off in a row.
Have a wonderful, safe, festive, and a very blessed Thanksgiving everyone. ]

That sounds like every Saturday I have off in the fall. Although some of those start with golf or the gym in the morning...but the rest follows said pattern.
