Christmas Tree Time
It’s that time again to start with putting up a Christmas tree. So do you start with a live cut tree or an artificial tree this year?
How long before Christmas day do you start? And who has to do all the work?

We usually put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving but this year we put it up a bit earlier...I just love Christmas and I needed a little cheering up this week!
Our tree is artificial because my oldest son is a severe asthmatic with severe allergic reactions to pine so we have an artificial tree, but it is very pretty. Everyone helps decorate the tree but I am responsible for the rest of the house Oh well, I have the Christmas music playing, I'm humming and the house looks better by the minute!

It depends. I much prefer the smell of a real tree, sometimes I prefer the no mess clean up of the trees with fiber(fibre) optics.

Artificial here
Real trees are nice but the only thing I do not like about it is when the season is over with, you undecorate the tree and then have to find a way to properly dispose of the tree. So sad.

I have a Norfolk pine which is very attractive as a potted plant on my porch all spring, summer, and fall, but needs to be brought in the house for the winter. I decorate it for Christmas after Thanksgiving until the end of December. In Jan, Feb, and March, I just leave lights on it to brighten up the foyer in the evening. The foyer has a skylight so the tree gets light. Sometimes you see them at Fred Meyer around the holidays with many skinny trunks, but I cut all but the center truck so it looks like a real Christmas tree. Happy Holidays!

Artificial tree for years. It's too dry and unpredictable in the AZ desert for keeping a real tree in good condition through the holidays. This year we're putting up a tiny tree, 12' glass tree, for the holidays just to say we have one up, since we will be gone through the holidays down in So America.

Just started the last couple years using an artificial one! Don't like buying one as their to dead by time the consumer gets them.
We have always went and cut ours but since my husbands last back surgery we haven't done it!! That was always the joy of having a tree...
I really don't miss the mess from the needles. Even though I kept water for it, it always seem to be so messy!!
The one I have now has all the lights already on it.....boy that sure makes things a little easier!!
