I started entering these sweepstakes at the beginning of the year. No, I have not won yet. I did do the online games and such. Got tired of that and deleted my acct. and checked boxes to quit getting emails. I am still doing the snailmail registrations. However, if I do not win the prize at the end of Aug., I am done. I have ordered some things, thought they would be good gifts for relatives birthdays or Christmas. However, not doing that anymore. How many of those things do you really need. Sure would be nice to win, but, odds are not in my favor.

This past few months, I've spent more time skimming past all those stupid offers to say no, thanks, but still enter. If they paid me by the email, I'd be a multi-millionaire by now.

When I got my first computer I started entering PCH. After a couple months I started getting their mail and I entered that also. I also joined an online sweepstake club [free] and entered daily. I gamble a little and that is not free. So I have been an avid sweeper for over 22 years! After all those years I still enter via the Internet every single day and thru the mail about three times a week. It is too late to quit after all the time invested. So far I have never had a win from PCH, but I have had wins from the other sources. From Memory I have won: A Sony 32 inch TV, $6,000 twice, Camper Trailer valued at $40,000, $9,000 twice, Many cash wins from a couple thousand to the largest at $40,000, Notified today of a win of $7,500, a few months ago a sweeps representative from Rumba meats called and said that 20 people had been drawn for $500 for sure and I was in the group. He went on to say that one of the 20 would be drawn to be the winner of ten thousand! I waited a week and was notified that my $500 check was on the way. So close.

I have won enough over 22 years to keep me interested and being handicapped this is a great hobby. My son who lives in Wisconsin, 2,000 miles away, does the "Sweepstake Club" thing. He refuses to do PCH because of the odds and time involved. I'll stick with sweeping until I assume room temperature...or at least until Dave Sayer hands me the big check on August 31. Good Luck to everyone!

Are you just remembering winnings from many sources or is there a sweepstakes called Memory? Wondering because it's capitalized.

Just my mistake, it should not have been capitalized.

Thanks. Do you enter online sweepstakes, snail mail or both?

Any sites you recommend?

I used to do both but dropped the mail-in club because I had to pay for the sweepstake newsletter and then the stamps and envelopes and 3 X 5 cards. Now I enter only online for free. I belong to a free site where I have won several times. Once you get the hang of using the site properly you will like it too. The name is SweepstakesToday.com. That is the only site that I enter from. PCH is the only one that I enter on my own. SweepstakesToday.com makes their money from the companies that want their sweeps posted there. There are also some ads on the sign in page. The rest is ad free and lists all the new sweeps each day which are rated 1 to 5 stars by their criteria.

Each day I look at my scratch pad to see what the last listed sweep was from my last visit. Then I scroll to that one and look through 10 to 15 new ones to see if there are any that I want to add to my "lucky list" where they are stored for daily entry until the sweep expires. I repeat...It is easy after you do it several days. It just takes time but costs nothing.

I wish you all the good luck that you want!

I recall a sort pf scandal about twenty or thirty years ago, when people still mailed in their entries ; many hundreds of thousands of entries from people who did not order were found in the dumpsters behind the offices in Port Washington.
I think they had to undergo more strigent testing after that.
