Good Morning, Karla! (& everyone else, too!) I'm not sure I could handle seeing liquid water in the great outdoors this time of year!
The Helpful Fairy's assistance would be enlisted in cleaning the den and organizing books. That way, I could spend National Christmas Card day doing something I haven't done in a couple of years. (And I wonder why I get fewer cards each year . . . )
I got my hair cut and cleaned out my purse at the same time -- last October. That was my last trip into the Big City. I only use a purse when traveling, so I have to dig it out and "restock" it before each trip. I actually found some money in my wallet (stored with the purse) and earplugs the last time I got ready for a trip. As far as my hair . . . if it's many months between trips (longest was 19!), my hair gets pretty scary looking! I've been known to take the scissors to it myself because it eventually drives me crazy. (Funny, I've gotten some of my best compliments after doing this, although I think they simply reflect just how scary my hair was actually looking before.)
My favorite Christmas treat has to be the tree-shaped sweet bread we make and give to friends.

Today's Question:
The "Helpful Fairy" has once again offered her services to give you a hand
What will you have her do today ?
Hang the last of the pictures and things on the walls - I'm tired of going up and down and up and down the ladder. No, wait, I'd rather have her clean the bathrooms.
Bonus Question:
When was the last time you had your hair cut ?
Yesterday - by me - tired of hair in my face while trying to decorate for xmas, so I snipped here and there with my trusty scissors.
Extra Credit Question:
When was the last time you
Ladies - Cleaned out your purse
December 1st
Men - Cleaned out your wallets
Find anything interesting ?
No darn it. Was hoping a $100 bill had fallen in there somehow.
Special Holiday Question:
What is your favorite only found this time of year sweet treat ?
Certainly not fruitcake.
Today in History:
December 9, 1907 1st Christmas Seals sold (Wilmington Del post office)
December 9, 1965 "A Charlie Brown Christmas," premieres
Anyone have this on video or watched it last night?

December 9, 1978 1st game of Women's Pro Basketball League (WBL), Chicago Hustle vs Milwaukee Does

2. Stubbornly unyielding.
This is me to a T.
Today is:
National Pastry Day - oh yahoo!
and
National Roller Skates Day - I can put my hands on my old skates (the kind that needs a key to attach them to your shoes) - won't try them on since I know I'd end up on my derriere.
it is also
National Shareware Day
and
National Horse Day - after all these years I'm still asking Santa for a pony
and don't forget
National Christmas Card Day - I looked it up and this was created to remind folks to send out their cards or at least go go buy them
This Grinch isn't sending any this year although I bought a few boxes after last season.

Good morning everyone!
The "Helpful Fairy" has once again offered her services to give you a hand
What will you have her do today ?
I could use some help addressing these Chistmas cards...and cleaning the kitchen! That would be great!
Bonus Question:
When was the last time you had your hair cut ?
I hate having a stranger cut my hair. It usually goes all wrong. Because of this, I have long hair which I trim myself, or if I want it straight, have my sis do it. I'll see her on Xmas- time for a trim!
Extra Credit Question:
Special Holiday Question:
What is your favorite only found this time of year sweet treat ?
Mom's peanut brittle.

I'll gladly come to Florida, its -1 degree this morning with the wind chill.
I need the helpful fairy to go salt the sidewalk, finish our X-mas cards and clean the house too!
I last got a haircut in October, I need to get one here before Christmas.
Don't know when the last time was I cleaned out the wallet. Well, except for the part that holds the money.
Hmmmm, lots of good food. I guess I'm gonna go with Oreo Balls.
