A Washington woman who hid a sedated monkey under her blouse on a flight from Thailand was convicted of violating wildlife laws for smuggling the monkey into the United States, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Gypsy Lawson, 28, and her mother, Fran Ogren, 56, were convicted of smuggling and conspiracy to smuggle the monkey in violation of the Endangered Species Act and other federal laws.

Curious tail here. This story is not very appeeling and it scrapes the bottom of the barrel. It's certainly no way for someone to become top banana. Now these two baboons who went ape are in a bunch of trouble for going out on a limb like this. Strangely enough, it put me in the mood for a Reeses. Still, it's no way to swing. In these circumstances, ordinarily I would recommend spanking the monkey - but in this case I think the pregnant woman and her mother should be spanked - or at least b*tch slapped!

More than monkey shines going on here. Oook. Was she impregnated by King Kong (ala Faye Wray)? Monkeying around with quarantine laws is a sure way to bring in some nasty stuff. And you can bring in viruses too!
