Thumbs up So ~ how was yesterday (good~great)

Ok,,, so what’s the “best” thing that happened to you yesterday? You had 24 hours to find something good and everyone gets a little of the good stuff each day. It can be simple not something overwhelming ~ but it’s good.

Yesterday: I didn’t have any problem driving in all the traffic and I found a parking space at the mall right away. The sun came out and most of the day it was nice – so getting around wasn’t in a rainy downpour that was good. And I had happy friendly clerks at helping me at the stores that was good. But the “best” thing that happened was getting back home safe and sound without troubles or issues, for that I'm thankful and it was a good day.

How was your yesterday?

Hey, I got four brand-new tires on my pickup truck, so I would say that was pretty good...

I got my dishwasher fixed. Cost me $206, but hey - it is fixed b/f the holidays and I figured it would not be ready til next week. So that was a very good thing.

I had company over. Just a friend. She was here for 4 days (left yesterday), but the fact that it was our first time gettin' together in person and what a great time we had... I can't complain! Good times!

We had enough light fluffy snow for a snowshoe walk through the woods out back. Peaceful, quite, deer tracks all over, light snow coming down - beautiful day.

Called my son on his cell phone last night and he actually answered. Then we had a nice chat, for all of, oh, fifteen minutes or so. He's a typical college kid dividing his time and attention between classes, homework, work, frat parties and sorority girls, so getting a quarter of an hour to chat with him is both highly unusual and a real treat.

Then to really top it off, he casually announced that he's bringing home a tenderloin which he plans to cook for his dad and me on Friday night.

Once I picked myself up off the floor, I told him that sounded just delightful, and wished him a safe trip home tomorrow.

My wife and I spent a couple of hours wrapping Christmas presents yesterday afternoon ... just the two of us. We put some Christmas CDs on and went to it. Didn't even notice when the wind died down and it got dark. Getting ready for the boys and their wives to come home for Christmas. And except for the one gift where the glue wasn't quite dry, we got them ALL wrapped. That was right after that big bowl of homemade chili for lunch.
