I'm sure we can all make a list of duds we've received over the years...how about dud gifts you gave?
Two years ago I gave my sister's new boyfriend some cashmere socks, thinking 'nice gift, one-size-fits-all'. Apparently not. A few weeks later she let me know the socks were the 'wrong size'. HUH?
That was the last year we adults exchanged gifts.
Merry Christmas to all, and hope your gifts this year are all hits!
Well there was one year my wife bought her sisters a board game package, it had arounf 10 games in one, later one of the sisters had a group yard sale and they all brought the games to sell, I guess they felt it was a dud gift, that was pretty much the end of that.
I gave a neighbor a bath set of fragrant bath oils and body washes only to find out later that she was too feeble to take a bath and had to give away anything that was geared for a bath. My bad
Another year I picked out 5 or 6 pairs of neat, cozy socks for a sister-in-law in her early thirties. It turns out she has a rare circulatory condition and can only wear special therapeutic socks...I found this out later from my mom.

Oh my gosh I can't even count all the dud gifts I've given. I try so hard to know the person and have gotten it wrong more times than I can remember. If I had all that money back now I'd be.....well, I'd be able to buy a lot more dud gifts I suppose.
I have a niece that in her teen years liked to wear long flannel shirts and gowns. So I, in my infinite wisdom, got her a long flannel shirt that she'd surely enjoy. It was 3XL. She thought it was a bed spread! Hey wadda ya expect - I'm a guy!
