The day after Christmas I went outside to the front of my house, and noticed a new $1 bill among a bunch of leaves at the foot of the two steps that lead up to my porch by the side. I bent down to pick it up, only to have another bill catch the corner of my eye further away to the right, also in a pile of leaves. I looked even further back and saw more. The first three were each $1 bills, and my next thought was, why couldn't they be $100 bills? My eagle eye then spotted the fourth bill, which was a $20. The next two were $1 bills. So, the Christmas winds blew $25 into my property which I discovered the day after Christmas.
What would you do with the money? No one in the neighborhood or any of my visitors from the holidays has mentioned dropping or misplacing any cash. Just curious to read how others would handle this same sitch.
One day I was in a hurry, got in my car, set my purse down on the passenger seat and a $20 bill on top of my purse. I was thinking I'll save time, won't have to dig for it later at the gas station. I had both of the windows and roof open, driving down the main street and all of a sudden the $20 flew out!
A penny for my thoughts: I'm green with envy. I think I'd go for the gold cause this seems like the silver lining but I wouldn't give a plugged nickel for anyone who tried to drop the dime on me. In fact, I would give them no quarter since apparently this was mint to be, to coin a phrase. If you have any cents, I would keep the coppers out of it--that would fit the bill.
I have a funny thing about karma comin' to bite me later.[/quote]
Me too.......I would do the same.
