Well obviously he needed the money to buy plain paper or post it notes. He'll be better suited as a bank robber when he is finished doing his time. Maybe he will remember to use a piece of plain paper.

Actually... The tougher times get, the more desperate people become. It's not thyat they are that stupid as much as they really want to be caught. They want to break the law in such a manner that they will go to prison but they don't want to hurt or traumatize anyone in the process. They are way behind in their bills, at risk of losing their home and someone close to them died or left them. They are not only at the end of their rope, but are falling headfirst and can't right themselves. They know that in prison, they will have a place to sleep, clothes that fit, heat in the winter, three meals a day and no bills to pay. To people that don't know how to get themselves out of debt or who have had more life than they can handle, prison can look like the perfect solution. what better way to get out from under all the stress than to rob a bank without violence and writing the hold up note on something with your name and address?

This got me thinking when I heard it today.
Do you know how easy it would be to find someone who matches you physically, steal a bill out of their mailbox and then use that to write your holdup note on???
Wear a mask and if you don't get caught leaving the place you stand a good chance of getting away.
