Well, this guy could actually save taxpayers a lot of money. He'll just start gnawing on the rest if his body until he's gone. Presto poofo problem solved!
HOUSTON (AP) -- A Texas death row inmate with a history of mental problems pulled out his only good eye and told authorities he ate it.

Andre Thomas, 25, was arrested for the fatal stabbings of his estranged wife, their young son and her 13-month-old daughter in March 2004. Their hearts also had been ripped out. He was convicted and condemned for the infant's death.
Thomas told police how he put his victims' hearts in his pocket and left their apartment, took them home, put them in a plastic bag and threw them in the trash.
So taxpayers have been providing his food, shelter and medical care for going on five years.... every day for the past five years that we have dragged ourselves out of bed to get our kids ready for school, gotten ourselves ready for work, juggled bills, cut our yards.... every day for almost five years- this guy has picked up a tray and been served breakfast, lunch and dinner, gotten medical care, including dental (no more expense for vision now, I guess)....AND WE HAVE PAID FOR HIM!
