Like RangerDuke, I think about Texas Tech and the great season their football team had.
And like Sapphire Rose,I also think of the 50's Rock Star Buddy Holly. There is a GREAT museum in downtown Lubbock honoring him and his band, the Crickets. It is a must see.
Lubbock is a friendly city, although it's been a while since I have been there.
Think about Texas Tech, not really the best of schools but saw quite a few cuties there, great football team this year.
I will admit that right now, Texas Tech is just your average university, but it is gaining prestige, particularly in medical research. In fact, Texas Tech, in partership with Harvard, has found a possible cure for AIDS. The story made front-page news in a recent issue of Newsweek, giving TTU a lot of publicity.
When I used to live in Dallas, I went to Lubbock and spent a few days. Met a very friendly young lady my age there. The mention of Lubbock always brings a smile to my face... I like Lubbock .
That's because the mention of Lubbock reminds you of Rub*ock.
