Things we do that annoy people.
I know there are several threads about pet peeves and things we hate other people doing, but I thought I'd start one that applies to things we do (involuntarily in particular) that annoy other people. I'll start off by confessing that my mouth is always getting me in trouble. No I don't have a potty mouth or talk crazy to people, but the things that annoy people always seem to have to do with my mouth. For instance, I slide my fork against my teeth when eating, I also gulp my drinks instead of sipping unnoticebly, tend to mumble my words sometimes and I bite my nails. I really don't mean to annoy anyone , but I never realize I'm doing these things until I get that "look". So ... what kind of bad habits do you have that really peeves people off?

I talk too much, I'm not succinct with writing, I'm always late, I get exciteable easily.

I have a habit of holding my breath while on my computer. After holding it I have to take a deep long breath of air! My poor DH is always asking if I'm ok. Now I notice it and am working on not doing it but it's a hard habit to break.

I repeat myself. Maybe it is because I work with kids and it has become habit but I drive myself crazy and if someone looks at me funny I just ask if I have already said that.

I have no idea....I'm sure that I MUST have some annoying habits.  But no one has pointed them out????? Great now I'm gonna feel paranoid  wondering what hidden annoying things I'm doing.  |

I get caught up in telling a story and leave key pieces of information out, then I can't figure out why they don't get it.
I also repeat myself....I think that comes from hubby's selective hearing.
I'm working on both....and the raising of the eyebrow when I think someone or something is stupid. |

I discovered that everything I did annoyed people, so I just said to hell with them, and I became a hermit. Now the only thing I do that annoys people is that I leave them alone.
