Yesterday, I got to sit in the co-pilot seat for one leg of my journey "home". It was a thrill of a lifetime for me. I've always wanted to take flying lessons, but never did.

As for me, I found a "job" through AmeriCorps Promise Fellow that I am willing to serve. Now I am working on my cover letter and my resume, gonna get it fix up before I send it in. |

I had an old friend call me on the phone, he seemed out of sorts with issues in his life and was very depressed over it all. After a couple of hours on the phone with lots of talking through the issues, I think he felt better and had reached a resolve in his life. I only hope he can keep it together for a while and things improve.
However it was nice to talk with old friends!

I just watched the last shuttle mission launch.
I was fortunate in that I saw both the alpha and the omega of the shuttle program. I just wish I could have gone home to Florida to see it in person.

I watched that on tv this morning as well. It went perfectly so far and I pray it continues for the duration of the mission. |

I found my bike that I want for my birthday but it is so expensive. +_+ I might just get a cheaper one and build in a basket. |
