I lived through yesterday and today I was able to sleep in late! Nothing better then gaining an extra hour or two of sleep after a busy stressful day. Good morning all

It’s a day off! Earlier this week Mrs Aks & I had been helping at the political center for a candidate who is running for mayor. Yesterday we both went out and walked several neighborhoods house to house canvasing voters about the candidate we supported and why they should think about voting for him. It was a long day but very interesting meeting others who wanted to talk a little about either point of view for those who were running for mayor. Keeping an open mind we learned things and hopefully helped others to get a different view as well.

It’s going to be a close election in Nov, so it’s important to help get the best man into office. And if you don’t vote, “don’t *****” about the problems! Nothing worse than talking with someone who is angry about political issues and when they finally mention that they don’t vote any longer, I have to ask why are they complaining about the issues.

Today is a relax and stay at home day!

DH and I jumped in the car and went on a road trip today. Went to Sarasota, shopped at a couple of places and pigged out at Taco Bell.

I have no plans today. I don't have to be anywhere. I am not committed to doing anything except whatever it is I feel like doing. That is a pretty good feeling and I am thankful for it.

My dad went rowing on the river today and just happened upon a Stevie Wonder concert, which he saw in its entirety from the water, for free.

I was in need of a laugh. And boy did I get a good one when I read the posts on the "Didja Know" thread. Laughter is good medicine and a good thing

Cleaned up some files on my main jump drive today.

I forgot it was in my pants pocket and it went through the washer AND the dryer. Seems to be none the worse for wear.
